Silver for the Kinderwunsch Institute in Dobl
The Steiermark Chamber of Commerce together with Merkur Versicherung AG and the Health Resort of Steiermark Province arranged the fifth health competition Fit-on-the-job Steiermark Health prize 2006. Awards were given in three categories, defined by company size, to those firms that provided the best health program for their employees. The important considerations were not amount of capital invested, but innovation, worthiness of emulation, and design of the program, conceived and implemented. All the criteria, movement, design of workplace, food, social skills, health-conscious living and the existence of an inclusive umbrella concept were included in the evaluation.

In a 2004 survey of needs staff stated their desire for training in stress management and team development. Respondents especially wanted some sports as a tradeoff. The measures implemented since mid-2005, and developed by the Spirit of Sports team, included:
  Fitness checks for each employee
  Compilation of a personal fitness program and coaching at the start of this program
  " joint sport activities (running, Pilates gymnastics, ballgames) and
  workshops and excursions (kickoff, regeneration, long-distance running, climbing, etc.),
were well received by all the staff and, they together with the improved team situation, have resulted in better fitness.
To take care of the children the institute even hired its own nursery school educator to enable the mothers of small children to take part in events as well. As regards food, healthy cold snacks and fruit are provided.
