GXP
GXP is a general term comprising all guidelines for good work practice, which are
especially important in medicine, pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry.
GXP includes:

Good manufacturing practice (GMP)

Good clinical practice (GCP)

Good lab practice (GLP)

Good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP)
GMP comprises guidelines for quality control of production processes and environment
in the production of pharmaceuticals, active principles, and medical products, but also for foods and
fodder. Quality control plays a key role in pharmaceutical production as quality lapses can directly
affect the health of the consumer. A GMP-attuned quality management system provides an extra assurance
of product quality and ensures that the requirements of the health authorities, obligatory for marketing,
are met.
GCP (Good Clinical Practice) refers to the rules for the performance of medical
treatments or clinical tests. They have been devised from an ethical and a practical perspective
and as a function of the present state of scientific knowledge.
GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) is a formal framework for the performance of quality control tests of chemical products.
The GLP sets the organizational framework and the conditions under which lab tests are planned, carried out and monitored.
GLP also covers the designing and reporting of such tests.
